Cedar City

The Cedar City Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is located at the Cedar City Business and Innovation Center. SBDC consulting services are funded by the Small Business Administration and are at no cost to small businesses and potential entrepreneurs in the Iron, Beaver and Garfield Counties.

To facilitate small business owner success the SBDC provides comprehensive business planning, market research, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, financial projections and other management consulting. The SBDC also offers low cost training workshops focused on several business management topics designed for established businesses, start-up ventures, or during any stage of business development. The Cedar City SBDC enjoys providing businesses in the region with the resources needed to thrive, increase job opportunities and contribute to economic sustainability.

About Joni

Joni Anderson is theDirector of the SUU SBDC and Regional Manager of the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC). Joni has been with the SUU SBDC and PTAC since 1997. She received a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from SUU. She has served on multiple community boards and holds several business certifications. She also helps manage a small family construction business. Joni was recognized in 2019 as the Utah SBDC State Star. Joni is also an adjunct instructor at SUU teaching Better Your Business. She and her husband Greg are the parents of two adult children.

About Greyson

I was mostly born and raised in Southern Utah and enjoyed my childhood spent among the beautiful outdoors and National Parks that Utah has to offer. In my spare time I try to spend it camping, spending time with my family, and mountain biking. I received my Bachelor Degree from Southern Utah University in Marketing and Management. I enjoy the study of business, especially entrepreneurship and I find joy and satisfaction in either starting small businesses or helping others start theirs.

Pork Belly’s Eatery & Catering Co.

Charles (Eddie) and Kate Meek have been in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. They owned and sold a successful restaurant in California, then chose Cedar City, Utah, to start Pork Belly’s Eatery & Catering Co. in 2016. They opened a second location in St. George in 2019.
