Carol Elliott & Jackie Brown
Welcome to Paletti!  That is the feeling when you walk through the doors of Paletti, a women’s boutique in Salt Lake City, Utah. Established in 2004 by Carol Elliott and Jackie Brown, Paletti presents the very best in clothing and accessory designers from Europe and the USA. Their goal is to dress successful  women who seek quality in fabric and simplicity in design.

In a world of ever-changing trends, knowing what to wear can be a challenge.  At Paletti, everyone will receive a personalized shopping experience, meticulous attention, and informed advice. They provide one-on-one services, focused on each of their clients, creating an independent style that will stand with time.

Elliott and Brown have been successful because they understand the purchasing habits and needs of their customers. They are constantly learning from their customers, and from their daily experiences running a quality women’s boutique. Elliott has also taken advantage of available educational programs. In 2013, she graduated from the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses management program. During that education, she became aware of the one-on-one business consulting services offered by the Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

Elliott says, “I felt like I had discovered a goldmine when I discovered the SBDC.  They have worked closely with me in determining my marketing goals, conducting market research, and evaluating space allocation for different categories of merchandise. We have also worked together on the financial side of the business, developing new reports and graphs. It made them much easier to use and create our future growth strategies.”

Andrew Willis, Director of the Kaysville SBDC, was immediately impressed when he met Elliott.  “Carol is one of the most enthusiastic, determined, and visionary business owners I have ever met.  She is constantly seeking to apply what she knows. She understands what her customers need and how to create unique value for them. Carol made the most of our free one-on-one counseling, financial analysis, market research tools, online marketing strategies, etc. She is constantly prepared to move her business forward.”

Elliott continues to spend a lot of her time mentoring other business owners and providing leadership in organizations that help and advocate buying local, as well as small business and economic growth.
