Secret to Success:

“It takes persistence, determination and drive to succeed and create our own destiny. We provide great jobs for great people.”
Brady and Corey Hansen
In January of 2012, brothers, Brady and Corey Hansen found themselves in a situation that caused them to consider setting out on their own in business.  They had worked for a local auto body shop for nearly two decades.  They now had extensive experience as well as needed certifications and connections to succeed in the technical aspect of their own collision repair center.  What they needed was business knowledge and start-up assistance.  They turned to the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Snow College, where they met with advisor, Keith Church.  Their first request was for help in developing a business plan.

Over the course of the next year, the Hansen brothers worked on their plan, relying heavily on their SBDC advisor for matters related to strategy, financial projections and options for obtaining financing.  After several months of preliminary planning and considering multiple locations, they purchased property in an ideal location on the south end of Richfield.  A few months later with a completed business plan in place and with the help of a local bank as well as an SBA 504 loan, they secured the capital necessary to construct and launch their new venture, Hansen’s Collision Center, LLC.  Unlike many companies that wait until they plateau to worry about growth, the two brothers and their wives immediately enrolled in the SBDC’s FastTrac Growth Venture entrepreneurial training program.  Spring was a whirlwind of activity, construction, organization, studying and preparing. By early summer of 2014 construction was nearing completion.

Hansen’s Collision Center was launched with the ribbon cutting on August 18, 2014, and the business has been almost bursting at the seams ever since.  Much of their success is due to their use of advanced technology and quality products.  For example, they are currently the only auto body shop in Central Utah that uses Eco-friendly PPG waterborne paint.  Their frame rack is the longest and strongest passenger car and truck frame pulling system available.  Additionally, many of their team of eight technicians obtained their first training in the field from Sevier Valley Applied Technology Center (now Snow College, Richfield).  Several of them are I-Car Platinum Certified.   They have a five star claim service direct repair contract with American National Property and Casualty Companies as well as Farmers,  and several others.  This keeps the customers’ insurance-related repair experience simple.  The entire team is highly committed to delighting every customer they serve.  They look forward to continued growth as they serve the collision repair needs of central Utah.
