Ogden

The Weber State University Small Business Development Center (SBDC) serves individuals from the four county regions of Weber, Davis, Morgan and Box Elder. Whether you are just looking to start your business or whether you have been in business for years, we are here to help. As a partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the Utah State Governor’s Office of Economic Development, we are eager to help your business succeed.

The Ogden SBDC is a teaching and learning organization. Our approach to business development is to help entrepreneurs develop the skills they need to succeed, either through classroom experiences or one-on-one consultation. SBDC advisors provide a listening ear, objective analysis and advice, and technical expertise to help clients start and grow their businesses. As an integral part of the University community, the SBDC also utilizes students and faculty as needed.

The SBDC consults with over 200 clients annually, including startup companies, micro-enterprises, traditional small businesses, and high-growth companies. Thanks to the generous support of our funding partners, there is no charge for consulting services. We also provide training and educational opportunities in the form of brief seminars and semester-long programs in entrepreneurship. These educational opportunities are provided at no cost or with a low fee to the small business owner or manager.
