Snow College has served as an educational and economic development cornerstone of central Utah for over 120 years and is pleased to host a Utah Small Business Development Center (SBDC) network office on both the Ephraim (Sanpete County) and Richfield (Sevier County) campuses. The Snow College SBDC serves the rural communities of Juab, Millard, Piute, Wayne, Sanpete, and Sevier counties, spanning approximately 1/5th of Utah’s geography. Business and industry varies widely throughout the region including several “mom and pop” businesses and larger employers such as Intermountain Power Service Corporation, Barnes Bullets, SUFCO Coal Mine, Norbest and Moroni Feed Company. National forests, state parks and various recreational opportunities also contribute significantly to the economic wellbeing of the region.
The SBDC provides consulting services at no cost to businesses and individuals seeking to start or grow a business, or evaluate business practices and company direction. Assistance to obtain business financing is one of the most commonly requested services of the SBDC. To facilitate small business owner success the SBDC provides consulting sessions, training events, and general advocacy for small business and entrepreneurship.
